Using the Shared Storage 29

Select the shared folders that will be searched for music, videos and/or

pictures and click Next.

Note: You can only check one (1) iTunes folder at any given time

Click Done to return back to the Shared Folders Management Page.

Windows System Tray Access

You can access the Maxtor Quick Start Setting through the Windows

System Tray. When installed, the Quick Start Software creates an icon in the

computer’s System Tray that shows the connectivity and the backup status

of your user ﬁles to the Shared Storage Drive.

The following Table deﬁnes the meanings of the System Tray Icons:

Click on the System Tray Icon to access its menu.

Color Status Meaning

Complete All ﬁles successfully backed up

Incomplete Some ﬁles backed up

Failed No ﬁles backed up

Not Connected

Shared Storage is not connected/recognized by the

computer
